A lot of people have been asking us questions like: Is Ipill safe? Is Ipill effective? We often say this, it is better to planned before engaging in a sexual relationship. But we understand with the current situation, it is very tough to plan this.
How to use Ipill?
This contraceptive pill can be consumed with a glass of water. A lot of our clients have asked us if it is okay if they use it with a glass of coke or alcohol.
We would suggest water would be best liquid to drink with.
Often after engaging in sexual intercourse, a lot of us pop in an Ipill – a pill that helps in preventing chances of pregnancy.
When to use Ipill?
It is best effective within first 24 hours of sex. Often people take after 48 hours or even 72 hours. We need to remember that the purpose of these pills is to avoid any kind of meeting between egg and sperm. So they more sooner you take the pill, the more helpful it is for the body.
Can I take two IPills? Is it safe?
Only 1 IPill needs to be taken. Please remember Pill or Unwanted 72 or 72 hours or TrustOn Pills, these are all emergency contraceptive pills, that only needs to be taken under conditions that are emergency. They have extreme high dosage of hormones.
Emergency contraception can prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex or if your contraceptive method has failed – for example, a condom has split or you’ve missed a pill.
Ipill is a brand , are there other brands as well?
Ipill is a brand, the hormone which prevents pregnancy is levonorgestrel; a synthetic version of the natural hormone progesterone. In a woman’s body, progesterone plays a role in ovulation and preparing the uterus for accepting a fertilised egg.

What happens after taking ipill?
Depending upon where you are in your cycle, levonorgestrel( the hormone responsible ) may work in one of these ways:
- It may prevent or delay ovulation.
- It may interfere with fertilization of an egg.
Is Ipill Harmful? Are there any side effects of taking Ipill?
You could also experience one or more side effects after consuming an ECP.
The kind of side effects that women experience generally differs from individual to individual, as each body reacts to differently.
Common Side effects of Ipill include:
- headache, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, fatigue, mood changes, vaginal discharge, decreased libido, hot flushes and irregular menstrual cycle.
- Some rare side effects may also call for medical attention. These include chest pain, breathing issues, eye problems like blurring of vision, severe leg or arm pain and severe abdominal pain.
Less side effects include:

However, all the alarming side effects mentioned on the back of the pack do not necessarily happen to most people. In fact, most women do not feel any side effects at all and the pills are well tolerated by the body.
