Pleasure, Politics and Pagalpan: What do those words really mean?

Pleasure, Politics and Pagalpan: three different words with three different meanings! What happens when these three words come together, how one affects the other, how do they play together, questions, answers, language and body, all this and more happened during the two-day conference, Pleasure, Politics and Pagalpan. It was a conference that happened on May 13 & 14, 2017, on ‘Sexuality, Rights and Persons with Psychosocial Disability’ co- convened by Anjali and ARROW (The Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women) with support from CREA . In an attempt to capture the essence of the diversity and the different definitions of pleasure, politics and pagalpan, we spoke to some of the speakers of the conference. With gender playing a crucial role in the  politics of pagalpan, we decided to speak specifically to some of the women speakers and understand what Pleasure, Politics and Pagalpan means to them. Listen to their ideas and definitions in Hidden Pockets’ podcast below. Hope you enjoy!
